Week Ten

This week, there were definite signs that spring is just around the corner.  Although I haven't yet seen too much green in the park, our neighbors' tulips popped up this week -  always a good sign!  We had incredibly mild weather this week; 70 degrees on Tuesday and Saturday.   We even had rain !?! on Sunday.  Unfortunately, I was a bit under the weather, so only made it to the park three days.  But I'm loving the early signs of spring!

Week Nine

This was a week of two firsts for the park project.  It was finally light enough in the morning that I could take my camera with me on my morning walk.  Below are my first sunrise pictures of the year.

On Thursday, I snapped few pictures of some rather unusual looking ducks.  Apparently, this week I also had my first ever Hooded Merganser sighting.  Too bad I didn't have my long lens with me - these guys were truly some odd looking ducks!
